A WORD FROM… NATHANAEL & ANNA
“As we come up on ten years in Grand Boulevard, we are reminded every day that the heart of Emerald Coast Theatre Company has always been people.
When we founded ECTC all those years ago in our garage, we dreamed of creating a place where theatre could serve our community. A place where children could discover their voices, where artists could tell meaningful stories, and where audiences could come together and experience something extraordinary.
Fourteen seasons later, that dream continues because of you.
This season, our stages will yet again be filled with stories about people finding connection, courage, hope, love, and their place in the world.
In Come From Away, a small town opens its doors and its hearts to thousands of strangers in one of the most inspiring examples of human kindness. The 39 Steps reminds us that sometimes we simply need a little laughter and adventure. Frozen celebrates the power of love and learning to embrace who you are. Dear Jack, Dear Louise tells a tender story of love and connection across distance. 9 to 5 celebrates friendship, determination, and women discovering their power. And Million Dollar Quartet Christmas brings people together through the music that continues to connect generations.
But as meaningful as these stories are, the real heart of ECTC is not on the stage. It’s in the people who make the stage possible.
It’s our patrons who choose to spend time with us, filling our theatre with laughter, tears, applause, and shared experiences.
It’s our sponsors who invest in the arts and believe that a thriving community needs a thriving theatre.
It’s our VIPs who champion ECTC and help us continue dreaming bigger.
It’s our golfers who come together to make a difference for the next generation of young artists.
It’s our parents who bring their children through our doors and watch them grow.
It’s our students who remind us why educational theatre matters.
It’s our artists who pour their talent and passion into every production we do, youth and professional.
And it’s you, the person sitting in this seat right now.
Every ticket purchased. Every child enrolled. Every sponsorship received. Every donation given. Every round of golf played. Every gala night. Every friend you bring to a show. Every time you tell someone about ECTC.
You are part of this story.
So, as we welcome you to Season 14, we invite you to laugh with us, cry with us, sing with us, cheer with us, and continue being part of the community that makes ECTC what it is.
The shows may change. The stories may change. But the heart of ECTC remains the same.
It’s you!”
With so much gratitude,
-Nathanael and Anna
